The Role:An exciting opportunity for a dynamic National Account Manager to join a prominent Australian food manufacturer and lead strategic growth across major grocery and manage key national retailer accounts. This role involves partnering closely with major retailers, driving sales, profitability, and product innovation across various categories. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic vision, category expertise, and a track record of account management in the FMCG space working directly with major grocery retailers.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Account Management: Build and execute long-term sales plans with key retailer accounts, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and growth targets.Joint Business Planning & Promotion: Develop and maintain retailer joint business plans, promotional strategies, and customer planning to support profitable growth.Business Development & Revenue Growth: Identify and commercialise new revenue opportunities, expanding into new products, categories, and segments to meet evolving customer needs.Financial & P&L Management: Oversee retailer P&Ls, manage budgets, forecasts, and analyse performance to deliver strong financial results.Customer Relationship Leadership: Establish and maintain high-level, collaborative relationships with buyer, supply chain, and product development teams within retailer organisations, ensuring alignment and a high level of service.Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to deliver on account and category objectives, promoting a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.Qualifications: Experience in FMCG account management or category roles, managing portfolios across Australian major grocery retailers.Relevant Tertiary qualification or extensive demonstrated practical experience within a FMCG environment.Strong commercial and financial acumen and demonstrated success in building strategic retailer relationships.Proven track record in driving profitable growth and achieving sales targets.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.Leadership experience with a focus on motivating teams, managing multiple projects, and delivering results highly regarded.If you are a strategic thinker with expertise across FMCG sales and account management roles with a passion for building high-impact retailer partnerships, please apply for the role - we would love to hear from you.
