National Account Manager – Bunnings Established over 20 years ago, our client carries a diverse range of stocked lines sourced from an extensive network of leading manufacturers. Headquartered in Melbourne, the business operates from a modern 12,500 sqm warehouse supported by a national field team dedicated to serving their retail customers for merchandising, ordering, training and in-store execution across each state, priding themselves on close and long-lasting relationships built with key suppliers.
We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager to oversee our client's account with Bunnings. This role is ideal for an experienced, proactive professional with a strong background in account management, particularly within the retail sector.
The RoleAs National Account Manager, you will:
Account Management: Develop and maintain a strategic partnership with Bunnings to drive sales growth and achieve business objectives.Financial Analysis: Utilise your strong Excel skills to prepare product costings, margin analyses, and sales forecasts, ensuring profitability and informed decision-making.Relationship Building: Foster and strengthen relationships with buyers and the merchandising team, acting as the primary liaison to meet their needs effectively.Product Development: Collaborate on international product sourcing, packaging design, and artwork to align with market trends and customer preferences.Strategic Planning: Develop and implement account strategies, promotional plans, and business reviews to meet and exceed sales targets.The RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:
Retail Experience: Proven experience working with Bunnings or other national retailers, either directly or as a supplier, enabling you to hit the ground running.Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and a solid understanding of financial metrics to conduct detailed analyses and reporting.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with internal teams and external partners.Product Sourcing Knowledge: Experience in international product sourcing, packaging, and artwork development is highly desirable.Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business growth and enhance customer relationships.Behavioral CompetenciesWe're looking for someone who is:
