About the Role:
They have an opportunity for a National Account Manager to manage, maintain and further grow this important national account.
Based in Brisbane and reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, and managing the end-to-end relationship with Bunnings, a key retail partner.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver strong sales performance, enhance brand presence, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Your key responsibilities include:
Essential experience for the role – National account management for Bunnings or similar accounts.
Account Management & Relationship Building Cultivate strong business relationships across multiple levels within Bunnings.
Ensure business review timelines are met with reviews being conducted.
Sales Strategy & Execution Monthly travel to Melbourne (can be day trip) Plan, develop and implement trade marketing plans, promotional programs and optimise trade expenditure.
Forecasting & Planning Performance Reporting & Analysis Maintain and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, supply and demand.
Ensure sales volumes, revenue budgets and targets are achieved.
Develop sales budgets and contribute to the annual operating plan for the company.
Be proactive in developing profitable business and improving company profitability.
Utilise insights and analyse data to identify and maximise existing business and drive new opportunities.
Conduct competitor analysis, understand market forces and make strategic recommendations.
About you:
The successful candidate will have dealt with Bunnings in some capacity, bringing expertise in account management, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of the DIY and home improvement market.
Critical to your success will be your skills around negotiation, presentation, and analysis.
You have created & implemented range reviews, joint business plans and promotional programs at a national level.
Other essential experience is:
A proven track record of success and experience in account management, preferably with experience in managing national retail accounts such as Bunnings.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with experience in navigating complex retail environments.
Analytical skills with a strong command of sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
Concise Presentation skills, including working knowledge of Scan Data and MS office.
Proven success in managing cross-functional projects with supply chain, marketing, product development, and finance teams.
Proven ability to be accountable for outcomes, including back-to-back revenue and profit growth.
Strong computer skills and proficient use of IT business systems (i.e.
Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Data Systems) Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.
Proven ability and experience with data analysis and reporting.
Proven track record in achieving business goals and targets.
You have +5 years' experience as a National Account Manager, Key Account Manager, State Manager or similar and have been responsible for Bunnings or similar customers, looking for a new role with a growing company.
Your background will be able to demonstrate success working with major national accounts and you will be able to travel once per month.
