What We Offer
We are looking for a skilled Principal Business Analyst on trading products. The role is based in Sydney with the Market Platforms Technology Client Experience team supporting Nasdaq Matching Engine.
Our customers are central market infrastructure operators worldwide. The Business Analyst's role manages requirements across the system development lifecycle to ensure that the characteristic of the functionality is mutually understood by customers and our internal product engineering organisation. Oftentimes, the analyst serves as a daily point of contact for clients, so to provide good guidance is vital for achieving client success.

What You Will Do

Partner with our customers to identify and understand their business needs and advise how existing product features can solve them or be extended to do so Articulate the "What" and the "Why" into written requirements and acceptance criteria that can be agreed with the customer and understood by all in the engineering team Be a core part of the engineering team, ensuring that deliverables meet the functional and non-functional requirements Work closely with other teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects Apply best practices and lead by example, to strengthen the quality of what we deliver to our customers Key contributor to the development of internal product documentation, training, new tools, and techniques
What We Expect
A degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or other relevant field, or equivalent work experience At least 10 years of experience in a Business Analyst role Experience in Financial Services e.g. fintech provider, exchange, bank, broker, or financial institution Sound knowledge of capital markets and trading systems Able to identify and distil key business requirements from a variety of sources Can articulate concepts clearly, precisely and concisely in both written and verbal form Comfortable working at pace and balancing competing demands Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues that develop trust and inspire confidence A highly collaborative working style Experience working on a product and/or on the vendor side Flexibility to take meetings outside work hours and some travel for business (about 2-3 times a year)

Our work arrangement is hybrid. You will be coming in to the office at least 2 days per week.
