About The Appointment As Finance and Commercial Manager, report into the CEO and lead both operational and strategic financial initiatives. As this role is broad in nature, you will oversee all finance functions as well as contribute to the strategy direction of the organisation.
Bridging the gap between operations, sales and finance, you will support the company in enhancing a data-led culture, developing meaningful reporting and providing insight to both senior and operational leadership. Your ability to navigate ambiguity and identify opportunities for continuous improvement will help drive efficiencies and add value across the business.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. Develop financial strategies and provide strategic advice to support business growth, improve profitability, and manage risk. Provide financial leadership and insights to the CEO and senior leadership team, aligning financial goals with overall business objectives. Review, negotiate, and manage contracts, supplier agreements, and commercial terms. Lead the company's M&A activities, managing financial due diligence, and working closely with external stakeholders to assess growth opportunities. Oversee cash flow management, ensuring the business remains on track to meet its financial goals. Manage relationships with external partners such as banks, auditors, and investors. Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, nurturing a high-performance culture. Please note, this role is based in Bundaberg, Queensland. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
About You You will be CPA/CA Qualified and have experience overseeing a finance function while being responsible for providing strategic and commercial insight. Previous industry knowledge in FMCG, produce, food or manufacturing is highly desirable as well as strong understanding of cashflow and capex management. In addition to the finance and accounting experience, you will ideally have exposure to negotiations process, contract reviews and insurances.
