Angourie Resort is located along the pristine shores of the seaside town of Yamba, Northern New South Wales. Job Description Join the Team for the opening of our newly renovated and renamed, Tides Kitchen and Bar! Explore your creativity with some of Australia's best seafood! What you'll do: Reporting to the Head Chef you'll join our Kitchen Team who pride themselves on providing exceptional service with culinary delights. You'll treat our guests and customers as individuals, offering tailored options and solutions with a resilient and can-do attitude. On a daily basis you will:
Undertake general or specialised cooking, baking, pastry cooking or butchering duties, as required to a high standard Monitor the hygiene of food preparation areas and equipment Under the direction of the Head Chef, lead, supervise and mentor your Team Serving modern Australian cuisine with fresh local seafood you'll curate a la carte delights for Tides Kitchen and Bar, our Pool Bar and Room Service menus. You'll also play a key role in the many functions and events that take place at our Resort.
What you'll bring: Significant (minimum 4 years) hands-on experience in kitchen operations with a clear understanding of the logistics of restaurants and functions catering Experience in leading, coaching and mentoring a team Experience working in events and functions A passion for your trade and for creating and presenting contemporary dishes using local produce Demonstrated excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated computer literacy, particularly with common office applications Formal qualifications in commercial cookery The ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt DoFoodSafely Certificate of completion Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays What's in it for you?
