Angourie Resort is located along the pristine shores of the seaside town of Yamba, Northern New South Wales. Surrounded by 600 hectares of picturesque rainforest and a stone's throw from Yuraygir National Park - the Resort is a traveller's delight. It showcases 66 rooms, a pool, day spa, restaurant and conference facilities, as well as being a popular location for weddings. Angourie Resort is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. Located only 1.5 hours from the popular towns of Byron Bay and Coffs Harbour.
What you will do: Reporting to the General Manager, you will work with all departments to enhance our guest experience, conference and events segment. You will have a passion for bringing exceptional experience to life and will filter this to all guests through leading and coordinating conferences and events at the resort. The role assists in securing the business, plans the meeting/event, co-ordinates with hotel operations and clients before, during and after each meeting/event.
You will coordinate and contribute to the successful sales and delivery of the leisure event segment, together with coordination of all conference and events at the resort.
Other key responsibilities include: Ensure all Conference and Events inquiries are handled within operating procedures and always meet the required turnaround parameters. Direct any new conference business enquiries to the centralised Sales Manager. Quote and drive repeat leisure business at the Resort. Be informed on sales leads and business quoted to ensure business is maximized. At all times, understand the client's needs whilst optimising hotel revenue through strategic yield management and upselling of resort facilities or services. End to end Event Planning & Follow Up. Act as the primary point of contact for detailed meeting/event planning, working closely with Operations, F&B management, Revenue & Sales, Rooms Division operation, Finance and external suppliers. Assist in the development and implementation of short and long term sales strategies for the business, to ensure revenue and room night goals are achieved, sales strategies are set, tactical plans are created and implemented, and results are monitored and achieved. Support M&E sales and marketing initiatives for the resort with site inspections, client entertainment, familiarisations, and other events that form part of the sales and marketing plan. Use guest insight to assist in developing new products and services to deliver guest engagement. What you will bring: Energy, pizazz and a glass that is at least half full - if not overflowing ! Proactive approach, with strong drive for team results and a track record of achievement. Hotel, Tourism and Hospitality experience not essential but preferred. Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Highly organized and motivated individual. Strong written and oral communication skills. Maintains a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Ability to manage time effectively. Strong presentation, commercial and communication skills. Strong influencer and persuader. What's in it for you?
