This is a great opportunity to join Atkinson's Mitre 10 , WA's newest Mitre 10 hardware store as our Bookkeeper / Accounts Clerk .

Our company is looking for a part-time Bookkeeper / Accounts Clerk with accounting experience in a retail environment to join our amazing commercial team.

What we need from you:
As Bookkeeper, your role will include, but is not limited to:
Accounts payable — entering payments into the POS system.
Accounts receivable — issuing and sending invoices to clients and following up on any outstanding debtors.
Reconciling stock receivals against invoice payments.
General bank reconciliations.
Credit card reconciliations for management expenses.
Petty cash reconciliation and banking.
Updating internal database with account information.
Preparation of monthly financial summary reports.
Preparation of BAS documents.
Maintenance of financial records and files.
Payroll preparation and timesheet preparation.
Applicants MUST have:
3-5+ years' experience in a retail accounts environment.
Experience in Xero.
A knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and multi-task a high-volume workload.
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to the role with a strong focus on accuracy.
The ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
Good communication skills and an ability to communicate with management on financial matters.
