The position is required to display leadership, cultural sensitivity, and best practice in their approach to customer service.A member of The Band of the South Australia Police is primarily required to perform in the Concert Band, and opportunities exist to perform in other ensembles as required as part of existing programs.Members will also be required to perform and march as part of the Parade Band.
Successful applicants will be instructed in marching drill and ceremonial procedures as they require a high standard of personal deportment and self-discipline, as well as a degree of personal fitness and resilience as performances may occur in all weather conditions.All band personnel are shift workers and are required to perform duties in the evening and on weekends when commitments prevail.
There may be an expectation that members will be required to travel intrastate, interstate and overseas as necessary.Salary: $80,190 - $98,549 per annumAll Band members are classified as shift workers and the position attracts a 10% flexible shift allowance in lieu of penalty payments.Successful applicants will be subject to a probationary period for 12 months vide Section 27 of the Police Act, 1998.Auditions are proposed to be held at ABC Studio 520 Collinswood, 12-14 March 2025.
