MusicACT is the ACT's peak music industry body, delivering resources, advocacy, and professional development to build and support the music sector. As the representative member of the Australian Music Industry Network (AMIN), MusicACT connects local industry professionals to national resources and expertise.
Who We Seek MusicACT is looking for a passionate, connected, and resourceful professional to manage and deliver our core professional development program. The right candidate will thrive in an events-oriented role and have a solid understanding of Canberra's music industry needs. We are looking for someone to manage the events from a logistics perspective and to market the program effectively.
Position Description As the Program Manager, you will:
Implement and manage a monthly professional development series aimed at enhancing local musicians' skills and opportunities.Handle all aspects of event planning, stakeholder engagement, and budget management.Collaborate closely with the Director to identify relevant program content and coordinate marketing and outreach for each event (including but not limited to social media marketing).Maintain strong communication with musicians and other industry members to ensure event relevance and engagement.Selection Criteria Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.Proven experience in the local music industry, with event management experience.Familiarity with social media marketing and promotion in the music industry.Passion for supporting ACT's diverse music scene.Flexible, part-time role: 2 days a week, work-from-home options available.
