Montessori Care is a registered NDIS service provider of in-home aged care and disability supports.We are currently seeking enthusiastic Music Therapists to join our diverse team in Greater Sydney NSW.As a Music Therapist, your primary responsibility is to use music as a therapeutic tool to improve the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being of neurodiverse children and adults and people with disabilities, while also advocating for the recognition and integration of music therapy services within various community settings. This service will be tailored to the needs of individual clients and groups.Key ResponsibilitiesConducting initial assessments to understand clients' needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.Facilitating music therapy sessions using a variety of music-based interventions and techniques.Modifying music therapy interventions to accommodate the unique needs and abilities of individuals with disabilities.Maintaining accurate and detailed records of client progress, session notes, and treatment plans.Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide integrated care.Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in music therapy research, techniques, and best practices.Qualifications and SkillsBachelor's or master's degree (Desirable)Experience working in the NDIS sectorUp to date registration with Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA)Valid Australian Driver's LicenseChecksWWCCNDIS CheckFirst Aid/CPRWorking ConditionsWork may be conducted in various settings, including client homes and community institutions.Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate client needs, including occasional evening or weekend appointments.Travel may be required to visit multiple client locations within a designated geographic area.Location: Summer Hill, New South Wales, AustraliaPosition Type: Casual/VacationSector: Community Services & Development, Aged & Disability Support#J-18808-Ljbffr
