Music Teacher We are seeking an experienced, innovative and dynamic qualified Music teacher for a fulltime position commencing Term 1, 2025. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge of the NESA K–12 Music syllabus documents and possess the capacity to encourage and inspire students in their love of learning in Music. Ability to teach strings would be advantageous.

Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge of and the ability to teach:
NESA K-12 Music syllabusPractical application teaching MusicExperience in Primary and Secondary Music teachingPossess a passion for your subject and the capacity to encourage and inspire students in their love of MusicDuties & Responsibilities:
Actively support and promote the Christian ethos of Calrossy in a manner that is inclusive and sensitive to the life experiences of students, parents, and staff.At all times promote the School's Christian values in a practical and accessible way that promotes our mission to provide excellence in a Christian environment.Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Current Working with Children CheckFirst Aid CertificateCurrent Driver's LicenceAppropriate NSW teaching qualifications and NESA accreditationKnowledge of AITSL teaching standardsKnowledge of the current K-12 Music syllabusesExperience in or preparedness to teach Stage 4, 5 & 6 Music syllabusSkills and motivation to teach in a live online environment (not applicable for this current position but may be required in the future)Demonstrated capacity to integrate technology into effective teaching and learning for modern learners including strong computer literacy skills and ability to learn new school systemsDemonstrated ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet the learning needs of a diverse student bodyHighly developed communication and interpersonal skills, a capacity to maintain positive relationships and foster teamwork across the school body.Desirable Criteria:
Teaching experience Stage 6, HSC MusicStrings specialist, AMEB and or Trinity College of London qualifiedTeach Strings within the Instrumental Programme, Years 3 – 5Extra-curricular Ensemble Leadership experience – Orchestra, String ensemble or ContemporaryExperience or training in the Kodaly and or Orff frameworkRoles, Responsibilities and Expectations of a Music Teacher:
Evidence of excellence in teachingExtensive knowledge of the current Music SyllabusAbility to differentiate the curriculum to meet the learning needs of a diverse student body, including gifted and talented studentsSupport of the school's Wellbeing program and student Mentor groupsFollow assessment schedules as determined by the Head of DepartmentDemonstrate enthusiasm for the subjects being taughtSeek to assist each student in classes regardless of abilityBe prepared to teach on both campuses, as determined by the Head of Department, Deputy Principal/PrincipalPlay a part as a collegial member of the faculty in sharing ideas on teaching, assessment and programmingPerform duties to the best of your ability and be accountable for your performanceFollow reasonable instructions given by your supervisor or their delegateParticipate in any in-house training programs, as well as other job specific training that is identified as required for this job descriptionParticipate and contribute to team meetingsParticipate in workplace change where requiredComply with the School's Code of ConductComply with lawful directionsWork, Health & Safety:

Award - Independent Schools NSW Teachers (Hybrid Model) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2021 Work Type - Full time

Salary - As per current classification
