About the Opportunity Pilbara Meta Maya is looking for one full-time Municipal Services Officer based in Port Hedland and one in Meekatharra, WA .

These roles are essential in ensuring that municipal services are efficiently and effectively delivered to remote Aboriginal communities.
Reporting to the Municipal Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that contribute to the upkeep and safety of these communities.
Please note that travel between communities will be required for this role.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Controlling shrubs and vegetation Implementing dust control measures Conducting power and water compound inspections and maintenance Performing airstrip inspection and maintenance Collecting rubbish and maintaining landfill areas Conducting visual inspections of community and essential assets Completing weekly vehicle and trailer inspections and reporting faults Providing daily and weekly inspection reports to PMMRAC For the Port Hedland location, the role requires working 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
In Meekatharra, the position involves working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

About You To qualify, you will need a valid manual C-class driver's licence and a First Aid certification, or be willing to obtain.
Previous experience in a similar role or environment will be highly regarded but is not essential.
The ideal candidate will be physically fit, capable of working in hot weather, and have a strong understanding of safety procedures.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
Knowledge of Work Health and Safety standards Experience with machinery operations (e.g., Bobcat, excavator, front-end loader licences) Prior experience working with Aboriginal corporations or in the non-profit sector As our ideal candidate, you will possess strong organisational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to supporting the well-being of Aboriginal communities.
This is a hands-on role requiring resilience, adaptability, and a passion for community service.
