At Chatterbox, part of Expansive, we're looking for enthusiastic Speech Pathology Aides (you don't need direct experience as we value life experience) to join our team, delivering face-to-face support in homes, kindergartens, and community settings across South East Melbourne.
This role is perfect for individuals with a positive, can-do attitude, a passion for learning, is great with kids, and above all is FUN.
About Us
Chatterbox is dedicated to helping children thrive by providing high-quality, child-centred speech pathology services in the suburbs of South-Eastern Melbourne including Mulgrave, Mount Waverley, Glen Waverley, Springvale, Chadstone, and Narre Warren.
We value creativity, positivity, and the ability to make every session an engaging and meaningful experience for children and families.
The Role
As a Mobile Speech Pathology Aide, you'll:

Travel to client homes and daycares/kindergartens to provide hands-on support.
Facilitate play-based activities to enhance children's communication and engagement.
Build positive relationships to foster children's confidence and skill development.
Deliver Speech Therapy under the guidance of a Speech Pathologist.
Assist with session preparation, including organising therapy materials.
Use your own laptop to manage session notes, access resources, and communicate with the team.
Provide feedback on progress and collaborate with the broader therapy team.
This role offers approximately 5 to 10 hours per week in the beginning, including after-school hours and late afternoon work on weekends, at a rate of $35 per hour.
About You
We're looking for individuals who:

Are enthusiastic, fund, reliable, with a love for working with children.
Bring a positive, can-do attitude and excel at engaging children in creative, play-based activities.
Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience is not required—your enthusiasm, reliability, and eagerness to learn are what matter most.
Have a reliable car, valid driver's licence, and willingness to travel locally between client appointments.
Own a laptop for completing session-related tasks and staying connected with the team.
Languages such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, or Korean are highly appreciated.
This position is ideal for mums, teachers' aides, tutors, students with a mature and responsible approach, or anyone with a passion for working with children and looking for flexible, rewarding work.
