Multiple x Data Analysts - SAS, Data Lake, Reporting - Federal Govt!

Exciting opportunity within a Federal Government Department Initial 12 month contract + extension options!
A leading Federal Government department is seeking multiple skilled Data Analysts to conduct extensive data analysis, implement initiatives within dynamic analytics platforms, and collaborate across teams to enhance reporting needs.

The successful candidates will be offered a 12-month contract with extensions and flexible hybrid work arrangements across various locations.

The successful Data Analysts will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Understand the strategy and the changing needs of the organisation.
Capture business requirements and underlying data and reporting needs.
Translate subject-matter expert and stakeholder discussion into data and reporting products and insights into value adding products for stakeholders.
Articulate complex information into simple messages that can be consumed by key stakeholders with varied levels of data literacy.
Design and build reports, dashboards and data products that support business processes and deliver business insight.
Drive best practice across the Analytics Chapter to ensure consistent analytics methodology and approach.
The successful Data Analysts will have the following:
Demonstrated ability to identify organisational challenges and problem statements and be able to turn this into analytical and data business requirements.
Proven ability to design and build reports, dashboards and data products that support business processes and deliver business insight.
Demonstrated ability to translate subject-matter expert and stakeholder discussion into data and reporting products and translate key data insights into value adding products.
Good analytical and evaluating skills with strong programming experience (SAS, SQL, Python, R, etc).
Previous experience working in an industrialised cloud Data Lake and/or EDW environment advantageous.
