Salary Range: AUD $123,340 - $134,848 plus superannuation. (Remuneration stated is for a full-time position.)

Our Team – International Relations and Multicultural Affairs We provide leadership, guidance, and support for all international activities involving or being undertaken on behalf of Brisbane City Council. Our team is the official liaison and communication point for all international contact and communication involving Council. We ensure that the international opportunities available to the City of Brisbane are maximised, coordinated, and strategically driven and provide meaningful connections for Brisbane's multicultural business communities.
The Role The Multicultural Affairs Project Manager will lead the Multicultural Affairs agenda across the team to progress economic, civic, and cultural outcomes for Brisbane. This role identifies and monitors key trends and activities in multicultural communities, chambers of commerce, and the Lord Mayor's Multicultural Roundtable to drive commercial outcomes for local businesses while providing cultural advice to stakeholders.
This role will also contribute to the management of strategic relationships with Brisbane Sister Cities, inter-agencies, Brisbane businesses, and work with the Sister Cities Steering Committee to focus on maximising economic outcomes and identifying business development opportunities.
We are looking for a highly capable and experienced project manager who can develop and maintain in-depth relationships with multicultural and international groups to provide well-informed advice on strategic issues affecting economic growth.
In this role you will: Establish, develop, maintain, and monitor in-depth relationships with key clients and stakeholders.Develop and lead implementation of a multicultural calendar of key community events.Identify and profile local, national, and international client and stakeholder groups.Maintain strong economic, civic, and cultural relationships with multicultural roundtable and sister city steering committee members.Provide specialised domestic and international protocol advice.Actively engage clients and stakeholders in international programs and activities.Manage client and business development strategy with local, national, and international clients and stakeholders.To be successful in this role you will have: Demonstrated highly developed skills in relationship development and management.Demonstrated experience in identifying stakeholder groups and developing tailored service strategies.Proven ability to engage business networks delivering economic development outcomes for domestic and international groups.Proven ability in working collaboratively to manage complex projects, workflows, and competing priorities.Highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills to negotiate, network, and influence.Substantial understanding of various international customs, cultural sensitivities, and international and multicultural business practices.Proficiency in a second language would be highly desirable.How to apply: Click on the 'I'm interested' button to complete your online application.
