The Japan (JP) Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) Field Operations team is seeking a driven Multi-Site Environment Specialist (MSES) to help drive environmental operational compliance and excellence across JP Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Last Mile Operations. This role will be joining a team of environmental professionals focused on making a difference. The MSES will be responsible to manage approx. 15+ AMZL sites across JP and provide environmental compliance support. They will support and supervise the nominated site-based Ops Champion for site-based compliance execution activities. They will collaborate closely with Operations Leadership teams (Delivery Station Manager, Area Managers, ACES, and L&D) and other functions such as Facilities / RME, Sustainability, and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), in deploying Global and JP Environmental Standards and Programs, and ensure compliance with all applicable JP National and Prefectural / Municipal regulations. By focusing on standards & procedures, risk assessments and compliance evaluations and audits, this individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to minimize environmental aspects and impacts and communicate & implement best practices across JP sites. Regular site visits, audits, and travel will be required as part of this role to drive strong partnerships and engagements with AMZL Stakeholders. As this is a site focused role, the MSES will be based out of an AMZL site and will need to undertake regular site visits / audits across other assigned AMZL sites. Key Job Responsibilities Manage and execute multi-site responsibilities to comply with air, stormwater, waste, wastewater, noise, and other environmental-related Laws and Notifications / Permits, including any regulatory reporting. Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to Ops, Ops Champions, WHS and RME on cross-functional projects and help drive awareness of an environmentally responsible culture within the sites. Ensure Site leadership and AAs are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities to achieve environmental compliance and continual improvement. Develop and lead communications for technical and regulatory environmental tasks. Train, guide and coach Ops nominated champions on site-based environmental compliance activities and inspections related to waste, air, wastewater / stormwater, spill management, etc. Ensure compliant implementation of end-to-end waste management processes onsite, working with Ops nominated champions, RME-Facilities and external waste vendors. Regularly undertake thorough site audits / monitoring for continuous improvement and ensure timely reporting to Site Leaders and relevant Stakeholders on corrective actions and risk mitigation controls. Lead Site Environmental Regulatory Assessment (SiERA) for new launches, ensuring they are launched in compliance with local regulatory requirements, working closely with relevant launch teams. Monitor and provide guidance on site's environmental performance against applicable environmental regulations, procedures and programs. Measure and analyze environmental metrics, undertake weekly and monthly trends to determine where improvements are needed. Engage with site-based stakeholders to improve site's environmental performance, by developing action plans for any deficiencies. Complete thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory and internal reports, and develop appropriate corrective actions plans. Support JP AMZL Environmental PM in piloting and deploying AMZL and site-specific Operating Procedures/PMVs, job aids materials, and trainings, to support regulatory compliance and drive environmental performance.

Must be willing to travel 75%+.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Science, Environmental engineering or related field of study. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, directions and strategy. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong interpersonal skills: building relations, influencing, and negotiation, with the ability to coach at multiple levels. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with Site Leaders. Demonstrate a level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and achieve results.
