We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Micro Tunnel Boring Machine Fitter to join our busy Workshop team based at our Queensland workshop in Yatala.
Day to day activities include: Maintain and repair Herrenknecht and Iseki Micro Tunnel Boring Machines and ancillary equipment.Maintain and repair pumps.Detect and diagnose electrical and hydraulic faults.Ascertain cause of damage and equipment.Provide recommendations for problem solutions.Skills and experience required: Trade qualification and/or demonstrated experience with Herrenknecht and Iseki TBM's and associated equipment.Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.Minimum 4 years' experience in related role.Have a knowledge or exposure to heavy mobile plant including tunnel boring machines.Clear verbal and written communication.Able to work with minimal supervision.Versatile, self-motivated & team orientated.The ability to follow precise instructions and directions.Training / Tickets: Forklift ticket advantageous but not essential.Gantry crane ticket advantageous but not essential.Dogman / Rigger ticket advantageous but not essential.Excellent hourly rate.
