The Home & Community Care Manager oversees the delivery of high-quality holistic home and community care disability support services within MS Queensland's network. Responsibilities include managing care staff, coordinating service delivery, ensuring compliance with legislation, and promoting a person-centred approach to care. This role is crucial in developing responsive support models and working closely with teams, allied health practitioners, and leaders to provide quality services within allocated budgets and standards for customer outcomes.
This full-time permanent position manages Independent Living sites located at Toowoomba and in the Ipswich community with occasional visits to the Neuro Wellness Hub (Milton) required (including occasional on call).
Reporting to Home & Community Care Senior Manager, you will:
Collaborate with the General Manager and Executive team to establish new Home & Community Care sites aligned with growth plansMaintain strong customer relationships for tailored supportEnsure compliance with standards and feedback for person-centred careImplement modern care models while meeting legislative requirementsPromote feedback, handle complaints, and engage in planning consultationsDevelop, monitor, and manage budgets efficiently within scopeConduct audits and quality checks to enhance servicesManage risks related to service provisions effectivelyUphold organisational values across all sites for a high-performance cultureTranslate strategy into measurable targets for shared accountabilityEngage staff actively to foster an empowering work environment by proactively addressing engagement barriersAbout you:
Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Management, Disability, Social Work, or Community Services3-5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably within disability servicesProven leadership experience with geographically dispersed teams in service deliveryStrong knowledge of NDIA/NDIS and relevant disability legislations, especially Supported Independent LivingAbility to manage resources effectively in a complex environmentUnderstanding of contemporary approaches to disability support and service managementCommercial acumen requiredStrong organisational and interpersonal skillsAdaptability for change management processesInitiative to enhance business unit performanceProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteBudget management experience within commercial funding modelsMS Queensland has over 65 years of experience in providing holistic neuro services, empowering better lives, and new possibilities. ANDWS clearance, Blue Card and completion of NDIS Online Worker Training Module will be required for this role (prior to commencement).
