Permanent full-time – nine day fortnight Located at Koroit depot (hybrid working arrangement available) Includes a fully maintained council vehicle for commuter (home garage) use.
The spray seal supervisor is a key role within council that will lead and oversee the successful delivery of spray sealing operations within council's construction, maintenance and emergencies team.
The successful applicant will lead a team of plant operators in the sealing crew ensuring high quality, cost effective and timely outcomes.
To be successful in this role you will need Qualifications Current Victorian driver licence Employee working with children check Completion of AAPA "Sprayed Sealing Field Procedures" (or equivalent) course or commitment to complete within 12 months of appointment.
Experience Substantial experience in road construction and maintenance and associated works, particularly in spray sealing and/or asphalt construction.
Key selection criteria 1 Demonstrated knowledge and practical understanding of the application of all plant and machinery used on works.
Knowledge of dangerous goods storage and handling regulations.
Key selection criteria 2 Ability to adequately instruct staff that works are completed within set time frames, budgets and standards.
Key selection criteria 3 Ability to communicate effectively with other staff and work as part of a team.
Ability to engage with members of the public with a focus on provision of quality customer service.
