Job Description JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for the provision of ground maintenance services, safe and efficient operations of mowing machinery to ensure our client's landscaped grounds are maintained as per the site schedule and specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION: Area Position Responsibilities SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT Be proactive in identifying hazards, developing safety procedures, and encouraging continuous improvement in relation to HSE. Assist in identifying hazards, advising on safety procedures, and monitoring work practices to ensure adherence to correct procedures and standards for safety and environmental performance. Support the Kolsen Group corporate quality, safety, health, and environmental management systems by: Reporting to your Manager or QHSE Manager any situation that could result in harm to a person, the environment or may adversely affect the services we provide our customers. Reporting any opportunities that could improve the quality of service we provide our customers or reduce potential harm to people or the environment. Understanding and supporting the annual QHSE objectives. To immediately pause or make safe any work condition or activity that could result in immediate harm and notify the responsible line manager and the QHSE adviser or Director. Leading and promoting the implementation of the integrated management systems for Quality, Safety, Health and the Environment. Customer relationships Communicate with internal and external customers on a day-to-day basis to plan work, keep them informed of progress, resolve any issues of concern, and identify variations or additional work. Operational performance Mow lawns using ride-on mowers (front deck & Ztrack). Remove litter from garden beds and driveways. Remove dead branches and leaves. Carry out tasks in a manner that causes the least inconvenience to customers, staff, and the general public. Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and the SNT operating procedures. Report maintenance and repair issues to the area supervisor. Understand and comply with quality, safety, health, and environmental policies. Follow verbal direction and procedures to perform work. Challenge any instructions that you believe places anyone or the environment at risk. Take personal responsibility to protect the health and safety of people or the environment. People and teams Maintain a high level of communication and cooperative working relationships with all parties. OTHER Undertake other tasks to support the project or business operations as required.

Desired Skills and Experience SELECTION CRITERIA: ESSENTIALS: Class C Driver's Licence (manual) Ability to work under supervision and as a team member. A satisfactory National Police Security Check Report. Be physically able to perform the duties of the position. Be able to perform manual work for long periods outdoors. DESIRABLE: Certificate I or equivalent qualification in horticulture. Working with Children Card (or be willing to obtain).
