The Client N1 Car Repair Centre in Clayton South in VIC is an automotive servicing business.
They are now looking to hire motivated individuals to join their successful team as a Motor Mechanic on Full-time Basis.
The Role The annual salary is set at $75,000 plus superannuation.
The Responsibilities Some tasks may include
Test parts diagnose various systems and perform corrective repairs to ensure that they are working properlyIdentify mechanical problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipmentFollow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examinedTest and lubricate the vehicle's engine and other major componentsPerform basic care and maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, and tire rotationsRepair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearingsDismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts.Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effectiveExplain to clients their automotive problems and the repairs done on their vehicles and suggest estimatesPerform various physical duties which can include, but are not limited to, bending, stooping, reaching, laying down, twisting, lifting and carrying various-sized and weighted objects.Perform tune-ups, weld equipment and other metals, and maintaining files about their repair work.Operate a variety of diagnostic instruments and a variety of hand, electric, and air-driven tools.Repair brake, engine, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, transmission, ignition, air, exhaust, axle, steering, and related systems.Comply with the safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe and friendly working environmentPerform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulationsTest drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems existThe Requirements: AQF Certificate III in the relevant field is requiredAt least 1-2 years of relevant experience in a commercial workshop settingMust have 1-2 years' experience working with Asian, Intercontinental and European car makesAt least 1-2 years of experience working with motor mechanical systemsMust know how to operate diagnostic equipmentExperience working with mechanical systemsGood with hand and power toolsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamAble to pass a drug and alcohol testVerifiable work references
