Duties and responsibilities: Discuss vehicle problems with operators to help identify faults effectively.Accurately diagnose, service, and repair vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards.Conduct thorough inspections of engine and mechanical/electrical systems, including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and steering, to detect issues.Perform essential maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tune-ups, fluid level checks.Repair or replace worn or broken components such as brake pads and wheel bearings; reassemble and test these parts after repairs.Test and repair electrical systems, including lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.Adjust brakes, reline them, tyre rotations and perform wheel alignments as needed.Dismantle engine assemblies, transmissions, steering, or other parts to inspect and verify their condition.Run tests and readjust as necessary to confirm repairs and maintenance work are effective before vehicle handover.Provide customers with clear explanations about their vehicle issues and the work completed.Schedule follow-up maintenance appointments and advise drivers on best practices for vehicle care.Deliver accurate estimates regarding the cost, time, and effort required for repairs or maintenance.Keep records of all work performed and any identified issues, ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy.Maintain tools and equipment in optimal working condition.Perform tasks promptly and with precision.Qualification and experiences Minimum Certificate III qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology is required.At least one year of experience in a similar role is required.Enthusiastic and motivated individual.Friendly, positive & approachable attitude.Adherence to OH&S Regulations.Availability Mon-Fri.Salary: $74,000 - $76,000 per annum plus superannuation
