As an independent and locally owned business, we take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and top-quality workmanship.Position: Experienced Automotive MechanicMain Tasks:Perform log-book servicing on various vehicle makes and models, covering tasks such as engine oil change, filter replacement, tyre rotation, and brake/suspension testing.Fix transmissions, steering mechanisms and assemble engines.Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, including G-Scan 2, to identify and resolve mechanical/electrical faults.Apply extensive experience to diagnose and address issues with vehicles, engines, drivelines, and associated parts.Execute complex tasks, including the replacement of timing belts, clutches, and disassembling/reassembling various engine components.Independently replace/repair worn or faulty parts.Other Duties:Maintain workshop cleanliness to high standards.Ensure customer vehicles are returned in a clean and presentable condition.Assist with general administration tasks, including parts ordering and stock control.Oversee and enforce compliance with WHS policies among junior staff.Required Qualities:ProfessionalismAbility to excel under pressureHardworking, honest, and conscientiousStrong organizational and time management skillsExceptional attention to detailGood physical fitnessDesired Competencies:Innovative thinkingInitiativeBusiness awarenessAdaptabilityQualifications:Current Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate (minimum certificate 3, diploma preferred)Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.Knowledge & Experience:Proven experience in fault finding and diagnosing complex issuesGeneral servicing of vehicles – all makes and modelsHigh competency in replacing timing belts and associated partsExtensive experience in disassembling and removing various parts, including engines and transmissionsProficiency in reassembling dismantled parts, such as engines and gearboxesExpertise in repairing/replacing worn or faulty partsProficient in scan tool diagnosticsKnowledge of vehicle safety requirements under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011Skills & Competencies:Customer service focusClear communication skillsAttention to detailPractical application of knowledge in a commercial mannerTeamworkTime management/organizationPersonal Attributes:Confident and personableTeam-orientedHow to Apply: If you are enthusiastic about joining our team and possess the skills and experience we are looking for, we invite you to submit your CV.
