Our company values its employees and provides ongoing manufacturer training, mentoring, and development programs to support your career growth.Position: Motor MechanicLocation: Dandenong South, VICKey Responsibilities:Conducting comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify faults and issuesPerforming repairs and replacements on faulty or damaged vehicle parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systemsConducting routine vehicle servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-upsTesting and diagnosing vehicle electrical and electronic systems using a variety of standard techniques and materials, including manuals and computerized equipmentIdentifying and repairing vehicle body damage and performing panel repairsAccurately recording and documenting all repairs, services, and maintenance activitiesSupervising and guiding apprentice motor mechanics to ensure they do not make mistakes when performing any work on customer cars.Requirements:AQF Certificate III or IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology, or relevant experienceAt least 3 years of relevant experience, with a focus on European car modelsDemonstrated knowledge of petrol engines, suspension, transmission, steering, and brake systemsAbility to read and interpret a broad range of vehicle service manualsAbility to use computers for the purpose of diagnosing faults and testing vehicle partsExcellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical mechanical issues to a broad audienceAbility to work effectively under pressure and to prioritize workload to ensure customer and management deadlines are metSalary: $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annumWe offer a competitive hourly rate commensurate with your experience, a supportive and safe working environment, and a secure, permanent full-time position.
