We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic (General) – ANZSCO 321211 to join our dynamic team.Position Overview: As a Motor Mechanic (General), you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the mechanical components of light motor vehicles, including petrol engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and steering systems. The successful candidate will have formal qualifications, hands-on experience, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in engines, transmissions, and other critical vehicle systems using both manual techniques and diagnostic tools.Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations to keep vehicles in peak operating condition and ensure compliance with environmental standards.Repair or replace defective parts in vehicle systems, including brakes, steering, and suspension, ensuring all work is completed to the manufacturer's specifications.Conduct detailed inspections of motor vehicles to identify potential mechanical faults and recommend preventive maintenance.Test repaired vehicles to ensure they meet performance and safety standards before being returned to customers.Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and inspections performed on vehicles.Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery, consistently meeting customer satisfaction standards.Stay updated on industry standards and evolving technologies in automotive repair and diagnostics to provide top-tier service.Skills and Qualifications Required:AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent, including at least two years of on-the-job training.AQF Certificate IV and Diploma in related fields are highly desirable.Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motor vehicles.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and vehicle servicing equipment.Strong knowledge of vehicle safety standards and compliance regulations in Australia.Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents Encouraged to Apply: We highly encourage Australian citizens and permanent residents to apply for this role.
