Job description Looking For: As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure their optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will contribute to our reputation for delivering reliable and high-quality automotive services.
Roles & Responsibilities: Conduct thorough inspections of engines and vehicles parts to identify mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment. Determine necessary repairs or maintenance based on the findings. Perform repairs on engines, including overhauling, tuning, and replacing faulty components. Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other components to examine and evaluate parts for wear or damage. Repair and maintain manual and automatic transmissions, including fluid changes, clutch replacements, and troubleshooting transmission issues. Repair and replace worn or defective parts and reassemble mechanical components. Perform routine maintenance services and enhance vehicle performance and ensure compliance with pollution regulations by performing emissions tests and tuning engines as necessary. Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls, providing on-site assistance and repairs as needed. Reassemble engines and vehicle parts after repairs, ensuring all components are correctly installed and functioning. Test and adjust repaired mechanical parts to ensure they perform correctly and meet safety standards. Inspect vehicles to issue safety certificates or detail the necessary work required to achieve safety compliance. Keep thorough records of services performed, parts used, and maintenance recommendations, while effectively communicating with customers about vehicle issues and repair options. Skills & Attributes: Certificate 3, Certificate 4 or Diploma in automotive repair or related field. Proven experience of 2 years as a Motor Mechanic or similar role. Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues effectively. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Working Hours:
