Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity available for a Motor Assessor to join our Motor Assessing team within the Perth Metro area, with the opportunity to also work from home.This role will require you to use your industry experience to assess motor vehicles along with your customer service skills to negotiate between RAC, members, and repairers; ensuring a fair and reasonable outcome for all.What will you be doing?Assess damaged motor vehicles and caravans and determine damage costs.Recommend cost-effective methods of claim settlement in accordance with policy conditions, manufacturers' repair specifications, and quality expectations.Provide consistent and efficient repair management practices within measured service and cost targets.Identify and inspect vehicles to compile accurate reports on the extent of accident damage and vehicle condition.Advise and review assessment reports to validate assessment of quantum position and settlement decisions.Adhere to Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry Code of Conduct.Provide exceptional customer service to RAC's members and stakeholders.Overcome objections and handle disputes and complaints at first point of contact.What are we looking for?Relevant trade qualifications in Panel Beating or Spray Painting.At least 2 years post-apprenticeship experience in the motor vehicle repair industry.Strong customer service, negotiation, and communication skills.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.Flexibility and enthusiasm in a professional work environment.Must have a current and unrestricted driver's license.Quoting or estimating experience within the smash repair industry is desirable.Commitment to putting members at the centre of everything you do.What can we offer you?Motor vehicle, mobile phone, and laptop to fulfil the duties associated with the role.Training and development to set you up for success in your role.A workplace culture where our people feel valued, respected, and empowered.Work in flexible ways that meet work/life commitments and support wellbeing.Be part of a purpose-led organisation that gives back to the WA community.An environment that values ongoing career development.Free Roadside Assistance and discounts on RAC products and services including Insurance, Holiday Parks and Resorts, Security, Finance, and Auto Services.Opportunities for community engagement and corporate volunteering.If you are interested, don't delay and apply today!
