About the role
Mater Patient Accommodation is currently seeking a Motel Assistant to join our team as a cleaner on a casual basis. As a cleaner in this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our patients and guests.
This role is crucial in creating a positive experience for patients and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will directly contribute to the well-being of the patients we provide accommodation for.
Salary range : $30.48 - $33.05 per hour plus 23% casual loading and 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doing
Maintain a clean and hygienic environment throughout Patient Accommodation facilities
Thoroughly clean and sanitize patient rooms to ensure a comfortable and safe space for all tenants
Attend to the needs of patients by servicing their rooms, including bed making and general cleaning
Efficiently distribute clean linens to designated linen cupboards, ensuring an adequate supply is always available
Assist the Manager in monitoring stock levels, helping to identify needs for ordering supplies, and ensuring that inventory is well-organised
Manage laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing of all in-house linen
Ensure proper disposal of waste by regularly removing rubbish from patient rooms and common areas, adhering to Patient Accommodation cleaning standards
Record and report maintenance issues to ensure prompt resolution
Regularly clean and maintain common areas to provide a welcoming and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
Collaborate with the management team to enhance operational efficiency and assist with any other related tasks as needed
About you
Previous experience in a similar cleaning role
Knowledge of cleaning procedures and practices, including proper handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Attention to detail, ensuring thorough cleaning and sanitization of all areas
Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time effectively to complete tasks within designated timelines
Strong communication skills, enabling you to interact professionally and courteously with patients, guests, and team members
Flexibility to work on a casual basis, housekeeping hours are 8am - 2.30pm Monday - Friday and some weekends to accommodate the needs of our facility
