About the Position We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter who is looking for a new challenge within a growing company.
You will take on the exciting challenge of working at our new pallet business based in Morewell.
Reporting into our Site Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance of site plant and equipment to a high standard, which will enable maximum production levels to be sustained.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position which will help to work towards delivering zero production down time.

Working Monday – Friday day shifts.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Both breakdown and preventative maintenance of fixed and mobile plant equipment.The use of sound judgement when making decisions regarding maintenance with due regard to employee health and safety.Working to ensure that any breakdown time is as short as possible, this may involve both quick fixes to ensure production is maintained and conducting thorough repairs between shifts.Training employees and supervising on-site contractors when required to ensure that maintenance safety systems are followed.Utilizing Maintenance Management Software (MMS) for reporting, monitoring stock levels and downtime calculations.Perform daily fixed and mobile plant, and equipment pre-start inspections.Completing plant operator duties on occasion to assist with production and assist other trade personnel with things such as operating plant machinery.To be successful in this role you will have: A qualification in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or other relevant field is essential.Prior experience as a maintenance fitter working within a production or manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.Knowledge of occupational health and safety issues and a high regard for employee safety.Previous maintenance planning experience or use of maintenance management systems (MMS) is favourable.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with other fitters, supervisors and other key stakeholders.Self-motivated with drive and commitment to complete work to a high standard.Willingness to adapt to changes for continuous improvement in processes.A forklift license and experience in driving a forklift is advantageous.In return, we offer: A secure permanent full-time opportunity at a brand-new site in a growing business.Competitive hourly wage with paid overtime opportunities.Opportunities to grow your current skills, knowledge, and career.A supportive team and positive work environment.Competitive pay rate.An organisation which values our employees and has a strong focus on the safety of our team members.About Us Join our team and be part of a diversified group with over 30 years of experience leading the way in the forestry, agricultural, and permaculture industries.
