Annual Salary: $31,200 is representative of a draw and the position is 100% Commission.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: The Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) is responsible to proactively solicit new residential mortgage business and sell GRB mortgage products to meet established loan quality and production goals while delivering the GRB Experience to our clients.
The MLO works with customers to take mortgage applications, initiates processing and preliminary underwriting, in order to complete mortgage applications and to assure timely closings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible to continually identify, develop and maintain a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.The MLO responds to customer inquiries and referrals that are generated from both their own contacts and from other GRB business channels.Meet with prospective loan applicants to evaluate home financing needs, explain the available financing options and provide assistance to the customer.Performs and documents complete interview with applicants while obtaining and providing all required documentation as applicable to sales process.Enter all application information into the underwriting system.Ascertain that pricing deals and rate quotes are in accordance with the GRB compliance program.Prequalify and prepare closing estimates.Provide excellent customer service involving residential real estate loan processing.Accurately document borrower's credit file.Assure proper maintenance of information in Credit and Legal Documentation Files.Follow loans from application to closing; follow up on appraisal and underwriting conditions.Regularly provide updates to borrower, attorneys, and realtors involved in the transaction.Cross sell Bank products or refer to a Relationship Manager when appropriate.Establishes and/or maintains customer Media Center database files.Keep up to date on Bank Policies, Laws and Regulations that govern residential mortgage lending.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree (or equivalent experience) required; Bachelor's degree in business related discipline highly preferred.3+ years of mortgage origination and/or processing experience required.Must have or be able to obtain a National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) number and remain active with the S.A.F.E Act registration throughout the duration of employment (with GRB assistance).Extensive experience in retail mortgage loan origination with thorough knowledge of underwriting criteria in conventional and government residential programs.COMPETENCIES: Provide a remarkable client experience.
