More Good Days is looking for a talented Content Writer who can blend scientific enquiry and creative writing to write content that truly engages with the search algorithms and people living with chronic pain.
About More Good Days
More Good Days is a health tech start-up that helps people manage their chronic pain with digital behavioural treatments. Globally, 1 in 5 people suffer from chronic pain. It is the #1 most common chronic condition and the leading cause of disability in the world. As many countries fight an opioid crisis that arose from a genuine need for pain relief, demand and evidence have grown for multidisciplinary and behavioural treatment for chronic pain. However, only 10% of chronic pain sufferers have access to these treatments due to high costs or lack of trained practitioners. More Good Days is an early-stage health tech company looking to make evidence-based opioid-free treatments accessible as a first-line option for chronic pain.
More Good Days is a 'for purpose' company founded to create innovative solutions for people with chronic pain. We are a team of clinicians and entrepreneurs who have come together to make evidence-based pain management accessible to everyone that needs it.
Why join More Good Days? Come be part of a mission-driven and fast growing start-up in Australia looking to make a real difference in people's lives. As a valued team member of More Good Days, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape the company's direction and the freedom and support from our small energetic team who are empowered to make a direct impact through our work.
About the role We're looking for a Content Writer with an aptitude for communicating complex ideas in simple and engaging ways. The successful applicant will draw on cross-disciplinary scientific literature such as pain neuroscience, health psychology and behavioural sciences as well as our diverse clinical team to write articles that have a direct positive impact on our audience's lives.
What you'll do Conduct research to ensure our content is grounded in the best available science. Write articles that engage, motivate action and are efficient. Work closely with the marketing, content team and clinical advisors to deliver to deadlines and incorporate feedback from reviews. Keep abreast of trends, medical and/or technical writing/regulatory knowledge, and developments and advances in pain management, health psychology, behavioural science and other relevant fields. Keep the team informed of any major changes, needs or risks identified. About You You're a creative person living, breathing and working in the chronic pain space. You may be a physiotherapist, pain scientist, or psychologist who understands chronic pain. Or you may be living with chronic pain and have the skills to translate research into simple and easy to understand concepts. In either case, you're inspired to create content that makes a direct impact in the lives of people living with chronic pain.
Minimum qualifications include:
An advanced degree or PhD in a relevant science or clinical discipline OR 3+ years of experience in a relevant area of research, content writing and development. Exceptional written and verbal communication. Ability to translate complex scientific/medical information into easy to understand and digestible information.
