As the 'face of the company' to clients and passengers, you will put safety and the customers' needs at the heart of all required tasks.
The successful candidate for this role is required to hold an Australian Drivers license (Provisional license as a minimum (Red P's)) and also pass a pre-employment medical prior to beginning training and employment.
Key Responsibilities of a Ramp Officer: Perform Ramp functions including marshalling aircraft on the ramp (e.g.
directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircraft).
Transfer cargo (including luggage) to other gates, other airlines and to passengers.
Responsible for courteous, prompt, accurate and careful handling of customer baggage, airfreight and company material; continuous lifting, loading/unloading, sorting and transfer of baggage, freight and company material.
Ensure compliance with all Uniform & PPE requirements Management of GSE.
Ensure the safe and secure operation of all equipment.
Test all relevant equipment for serviceability before commencement of every shift.
Desired Skills and Experience The ideal candidate:
A valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) - or ability to obtain one.
Awareness of the importance in achieving on time performance goals in an efficient and safe manner.
Excellent organisation and time management skills.
Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
Customer focus to deliver exceptional service.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations.
Able to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
Highly personable and able to communicate and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
Proficient in report writing, in plain and clear English.
