Racecourse Projects are growing the on-road transport fleet based in the Mackay Region and have a fantastic opportunity for a Transport Operations and Maintenance Manager to take the lead.
The Transport Operations and Maintenance Manager is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for the management of Racecourse Projects on-road transport operations, with 9 B-Doubles delivering cane ex farm to rail sidings.
Responsibilities include:
Scheduling and management of drivers Routine and breakdown maintenance Oversight of all aspects of transport operations across large scale sugar cane operations over two main locations Creating a strong culture and managing operational outputs Maintenance budget management Driving a proactive approach to safety, maintenance, and compliance We offer an excellent salary, a late model fleet of well-maintained equipment, and the opportunity to join a dynamic company.
The nature of our industry is that all trucks will be fully utilised from dawn until dusk, 6 months of the year, allowing for work-life balance and a dedicated maintenance programme.
About you:
Are you an experienced leader/manager in road haulage looking to take the next step in your career?
We are seeking a demonstrated leader with experience across transport operations and maintenance, workforce planning, and management. Practical, mechanical experience is essential and while a trade qualification isn't essential, this would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will hold a current MC license and have a working knowledge of NHVAS and WH&S.
