About the School Located on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW, CCMPS offers a Montessori education program for children from age 6 through to 12 years old. The Opportunity We currently have a full-time position available for a Montessori trained teacher to work within our 6-9 Cycle 2 classroom. The right person for this role is a qualified educator who will nurture our children's natural curiosity of the world around them, instilling a passion of continuous growth and development that lasts a lifetime.
About the Role The ideal teacher will have a passion for Montessori education and a strong desire to work within a collaborative, authentic Montessori environment. They will undertake and discharge the duties of an Educational Leader, including non-financial administration and the planning implementation of a quality Montessori early learning program. They will have previous experience in an early-childhood setting, ideally a Montessori setting.
Required Skills & Experience Ability to support the child and their development by working alongside them and their family, using effective communication and understanding; Ability to develop strong, nurturing relationships with the children, based on respect and trust; Have high motivation for achieving excellent standards of education with strong and demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the content and structure of the 6-9 curriculum and child development, with the ability to use a range of teaching techniques and materials; Ability to document children's learning activity; Have good working knowledge of NSW education standards including NCCD; Have excellent written and verbal communication skills; Be a curious and engaged lifelong learner; and Have a growth mindset and be highly dedicated. For Primary Teacher: A recognised Primary Teaching degree approved by the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA); A reputable and Australian recognised 6 – 12 Montessori diploma (or actively enrolled); Minimum 2 years teaching experience; Ability to obtain a WWCC (Working with Children Check); and A relevant First Aid Certificate and Child Protection training, as approved by NESA, or willingness to obtain.
