The Exciting Role:
Reporting directly through to the Head of Safety & Sustainability, we are looking for a highly motivated National Health & Safety Adviser to provide support to our People Leaders and WH&S committees by developing, implementing and monitoring health & safety practices in line with our safety & sustainability strategy, management system and in compliance with relevant legislation.
In this exciting full-time permanent role, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Providing support and advice on a diverse range of WHS activities and technical matters relating to manufacturing, warehousing, field sales and head office administration. Safety management system implementation including completing risk assessments, audits, inspections, contractor management activities, and writing procedures/toolbox talks, WH&S committee meetings and HSRs to drive a positive safety culture and effectively communicate safety expectations. Regular monitoring and reporting of site safety performance across leading and lagging metrics. Respond to safety incidents and hazards, including completing investigations and maintaining the safety incident database. Facilitating and coordinating training programs. Build effective relationships with operational teams to embed a proactive safety culture. The successful candidate will be required to travel between our Victorian sites in Clayton South, Noble Park, and Mulgrave - with occasional interstate travel required.
To thrive in this role, you will ideally possess:
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety and/or undergraduate degree in Health & Safety / Environment or similar. Demonstrated experience working in a similar role, ideally within a production/warehousing environment. Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites. Strong communication and relationship building skills. Strong attention to detail with a focus on systems, reporting and compliance relating to safety. Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently.
