Remuneration/Benefit: Attractive Salary in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement (over $60 p/hr + on call allowances)
About the role: We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified Industrial Electricians looking to complete additional training to obtain an in-demand trade as a Signal Electrician. All training will be provided and facilitated inhouse by accredited trainers and assessors. You will obtain a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Electrical Rail Signalling within 12 - 18 months and will be paid at over $60 per hour in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement. Pay rates will increase once fully qualified.
About you: You will be a qualified Industrial Electrician with experience in heavy industry or preferably rail sectors. You will have a strong focus on fault finding and defect resolution, will be solutions orientated and display quality workmanship and exceptional time management skills. You will have a high regard for personal and process safety and will be looking to work one of our family friendly lifestyle rosters, all based on a 76-hour fortnight.
Cert III Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent. Queensland Electrical Licence (Mandatory). Competent in Fault Rectification, Testing and Commissioning. High level of skill in the repair, maintenance and overhaul of assets and associated components equipment. Substantial level of knowledge of functions, defects and fault finding with equipment associated with assets. Ample level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings. Substantial level of knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and instructions including the Workplace Health and Safety Act. Sound level of both written and verbal communication skills.
