Zenviron are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer for large-scale Battery Storage Energy projects located in the Latrobe Valley, Victoria. Key responsibilities will include: Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project objectives are met on time with respect to cost, safety, and quality. Manage the interface between the engineering, project delivery teams, and subcontractors to maintain compliance with the specifications, schedules, and contract. Manage and supervise the resolution of technical queries as required. Lead the work pack development for the project. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to other members of the Engineering team. Compile schedule, cost, progress, and forecast reports for the projects; ensuring all schedule reporting requirements are met. Provide support to the project team and implement best practice on the project. What we are looking for: An Australian recognised, tertiary qualification in Engineering. Demonstrable experience in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction (strongly preferred). Detailed knowledge and understanding of substation construction and commissioning (highly regarded). Demonstratable experience in substation construction, including:Substation configuration Bulk earthworks Structures Earthing Cable installation Terminations Testing and commissioning Site based industry experience as a Senior Project Engineer within the substation, renewable energy or construction industry. Excellent written and technical skills and a confident user of MS Office Suite. An innovative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Clear and engaging communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills. Driven commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Proof of right to work in Australia. To be successful in this role you will require well-developed interpersonal skills to assist you in building effective stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, whilst demonstrating a team orientated approach to work and commitment to continuous improvement.
