You will lead a team of data engineers, ensuring that customer data infrastructure is robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers.Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.Manage team workload, ensuring timely and quality delivery of projects.Platform Development and Management:Oversee the design and implementation of the modern data platform, including data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL processes.Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.Continuously evaluate and integrate new data technologies and tools.Data Management:Help respond to customer tenders and grow the business.Define and implement data governance policies and best practices.Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the data platform.Collaborate with stakeholders to align the data platform with business objectives.Project Management:Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues that arise.Report on project status to senior management and stakeholders.Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with business units, data scientists, and analysts to understand data needs and requirements.Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the data platform.Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders on data platform capabilities.Qualifications:Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related role.Proven experience in leading data teams and managing data platform projects.Technical Skills:Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and data modelling.Experience with data integration tools and technologies.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.Strong knowledge of Databricks, Synapse, Data Lakehouse, Snowflake, Redshift, big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).Expertise in SQL and other query languages.Soft Skills:Excellent leadership and team management skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
