Modcast is a fast growing precast concrete manufacturer based in North Wangaratta, Victoria. We custom manufacture a range of precast concrete products for infrastructure and building projects across Australia with a mission of 'Building Better Infrastructure'.
As we position for significant growth in 2025 and beyond, we are looking for an experienced HR professional to join our executive management team.
Reporting to the managing director, you will be responsible for building and implementing a people and culture solution that supports the company strategy, with a focus on attracting and retaining talent in our manufacturing operation.
The Role In this role you will take responsibility for a range of HR tasks including:
Develop and drive a holistic people strategy in support of the company strategy and values. Provide a contact point for employees for all HR related matters. Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including recruiting, onboarding, changes and terminations. Manage performance management processes including conflict resolution, grievances, values & performance evaluation and reviews. Develop and drive employee engagement initiatives including rewards, career planning / progression and health programs. Support continuous improvement initiatives with a comprehensive and companywide training, learning and development program. Develop and maintain core HR systems, processes and record keeping. Support the management team and team leaders with expert advice, employee grading, mentoring and issue resolution. Develop and manage people resourcing strategies including onsite, offshore and labour hire. Implement an employee feedback (eNPS) program to provide management with current feedback and identify opportunities for improved engagement. Ensure people systems meet compliance including engaging internal / external audits and professional development. Engage with and support the management team to forecast people requirements and develop organizational structure, role and goal alignment. Provide reports to management including updates on key programs and initiatives. Skills & Experience As a key member of our management team you will exhibit the following:
3+ Years of experience in a range of people and culture functions. Experience in identifying culture improvement opportunities and transformation. Demonstrated experience developing HR systems and processes. Ability to adapt past experience and knowledge to align with the company strategy and values. Ability to apply systems driven processes while providing an empathetic ear and support to employees. Demonstrated knowledge of Australian employment law and willingness to keep ahead of changes and trends. Ability to work autonomously with high standards of integrity and ethics. Excellent communications and ability to build strong relationships. You will also need to promote and demonstrate the following core values to align with our workplace culture:

Enduring Relationships - respect for all / open & honest communication. This role will be office based to enable regular interaction with the team, however we will consider some WFH. We can provide flexible hours and terms however we expect the role will require a minimum of 3 days per week.
