As the Fleet Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our vehicles. You will lead the planning and execution of maintenance strategies, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance. With a focus on safety, compliance, and cost-effectiveness, you'll help us optimise our fleet operations and keep things running smoothly across the business.
You'll be responsible for managing preventive maintenance programs, developing strong vendor relationships, and ensuring that the fleet meets all regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the Asset Manager, you'll lead a team of maintenance technicians and collaborate across departments to ensure we continue to deliver top-tier service to our customers.
Skills, Experience & Attributes Extensive experience managing and maintaining a large fleet, with a strong focus on vehicle uptime and minimising maintenance costs. Mechanical experience or qualification highly advantageous. In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements to ensure all fleet operations meet or exceed standards. Strong vendor management skills, including negotiation, contract management, and relationship building with external service providers. Proven track record in creating and managing preventive maintenance programs that reduce unscheduled downtime and repair costs. High level of financial acumen to manage budgets, control costs, and deliver value while maintaining service quality. Proficiency in fleet management software and the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions and optimise operations. About You You bring a wealth of experience in fleet maintenance management and are looking to bring your expertise to a fast-growing business. You understand the importance of safety, compliance, and cost control when it comes to fleet operations. You are a strong leader, motivating people, fostering a culture of improvement, and driving results. You have a solid technical understanding of vehicle maintenance and repairs, as well as experience in managing budgets and vendor relationships.
