About the role Remedial Therapy at Home offers Mobile Massage to our most vulnerable community members specialising in aged care and disability massages.
You will be visiting 4 to 5 clients daily and recurring appointments, where possible, will be scheduled in the neighbouring area to spare your valuable time. As a therapist, you will meet a diversity of clients and your tailor-made treatment plans will cater to a broad array of health conditions, from maintaining a range of movement for someone in a wheelchair or degenerative conditions, maintain independence, increase mobility to improve mental health. It is our priority to ensure our vulnerable clients feel comfortable, listened to and respected in their preferences for massage therapy.
When offering the services at clients' homes, you will take your time to customise each treatment with the clients' input and determine what equipment is best to use and how to adjust your approach with each individual. This will guarantee that the safety of our senior clients and those living with a disability is maintained at all times. You will never be bored as it is a ever changing environment and you will require the ability to innovate and adapt to changes. We focus on improving the quality of life of our vulnerable people and specialise our services in remedial, geriatric and disability massage treatment for those receiving government funded home care services and NDIS plans.
About You You are passionate about what you do but ready to step up into a truly rewarding opportunity? You will be caring and genuinely have the desire to help our community's wellness needs. You will be patient, innovative and have the ability to think out of the box. Skills and Experience Essentials Diploma of Remedial Massage - 2 experience would be ideal, but will be reviewed case by case Member of a recognised Australian association Ability to obtain Providers Number, including Medibank Private (Preferred) Insurance of Civil Liability and Professional Indemnity of 10M and Public Liability of 20M Current valid Police Check that does not preclude you from working in aged care/NDIS Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWWP) for employment purposes ABN COVID-19 vaccination /Booster A valid driver's licence and insured vehicle Safe and hygienic equipment - Portable massage table, cover, and towels Contact us with your resume and cover letter expressing your interest in working as a Mobile Therapist servicing Tasmania's most vulnerable.
