An opportunity exists for an experienced Mobile Plant Workshop Manager who possesses the skill sets listed below for their major project on Lihir Island.
The role will see you responsible for the planning, execution, and quality control of all required maintenance on the mobile plant fleet, ranging from drilling, earthworks, hydraulics, and diesel fitting.
The Workshop Manager will also be responsible for the local and PNG National workforce within the Maintenance department.
Must be trade qualified in Heavy plant Maintenance type trade (Diesel Fitter, Mechanic, Auto Electrician, Mechanical Fitter) with a minimum of 4 years experience in a Mobile Plant Maintenance Manager Role, specifically with mobile Mining Plant.Experience in remote locations working with local indigenous people will be an advantage.Must be willing to do FIFO on long rosters during CV19 restrictions.Must be able to obtain a PNG Work Permit & Working Resident Visa which includes a clear Police Check and pre-employment Medical Checks.Must be willing and capable of conducting informal training of the local workforce and if TAE qualified, conducting formal training of the local workforce (PNG Gov't requirement).You will require at least 5 years experience supervising earthmoving equipment in an open cut mine environment, with a proven track record of maintaining Safety, Environmental, Compliance, and positive KPI/productivity records.
