Mobile Plant (Diesel) Mechanic

Full-time position for a Mobile Plant (Diesel) Mechanic in Kununurra WA 6743.
SKILLS You must have at least An AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training or a AQF Certificate IV, OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES As a Mobile Plant (Diesel) Mechanic, you will be responsible for the proper maintenance, repair, and installation of various heavy machinery, including construction equipment, farm machinery, road transport vehicles, and light vehicles. You will be tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of the equipment by promptly diagnosing and addressing issues across the various mechanical components.
TASKS You will be required to perform the following duties:
Troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of equipment and their components; hydraulics, transmission, and engines.Working as a team to manage your time and maximise efficiency.Testing, conducting, and recording work as instructed.Following OHS policies and procedures.Repairing and replacing work and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.Performing adjustments and preventive maintenance tasks on a variety of mobile plant and farm equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, cranes, loaders, tractors, and trucks.Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of equipment and vehicles.Responding to service calls promptly to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability.Testing repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance.Diagnosing any faults in equipment manually or with diagnostic tools.Purchasing and ordering any required parts and lubricants.SALARY The position offers a salary of $45 - $60 per hour, negotiated based on your experience.
