We recognize the unique value your contribution makes to the progress of our company and the communities in which we operate.Dugald River mine is one of the world's top 10 Zinc mine operations, producing zinc concentrate for our clients around the world since 2017.Reporting to the Senior Geology Technician, this role will provide logistic and administrative support to the geology team and contribute to the successful completion of the surface and underground drilling programs through accurate processing of drill core.This role incorporates correct drill core mark up, orientation, RQD, cutting and sampling procedures, as well as underground photography of development faces using Adamtech technology.To be successful in this role, you will have a positive attitude, high levels of motivation, and a commitment to safe work practices.
Essential to this will be a current manual drivers' licence and a minimum of 1 year mining or exploration experience.
Previous underground experience will be advantageous.This is a permanent position based on an 8 / 6 roster with night shift as required.
Various transport arrangements are available including :Drive in drive out from Cloncurry.Bus in Bus out from Mount Isa.Fly in Fly out from Townsville or Brisbane.Some of your key responsibilities include :Complete all core processing activities as directed by the Senior Technician.Maintain the photography database.Maintain plant and equipment in good working order.Underground photography of development faces using Adamtech technology (training provided).Assist geologists where necessary.What we offerRemuneration for this role includes a competitive salary package, annual bonus, and generous local allowances for employees living in the local community of Cloncurry and Mt Isa.On-site accommodation at Dugald River is provided in fully air-conditioned en-suite rooms and includes meal service and room cleaning.
