As a Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance and repair activities for our fleet of heavy equipment whilst still playing a hands-on role in day-to-day activities. This challenging yet rewarding role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety.
Kalgoorlie based (FIFO) – 2:1 roster. Key Responsibilities: Supervision: Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics, ensuring safe and efficient workshop operations. Maintenance Planning: Develop and execute maintenance schedules, prioritise repairs, and coordinate equipment availability. Quality Control: Ensure that all maintenance and repair work meets safety standards and quality expectations. Inventory Management: Manage spare parts inventory, ordering, and restocking to minimize downtime. Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the workshop. Reporting: Provide regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and workshop performance. Training and Development: Coach and mentor team members, identifying training needs and opportunities for skill enhancement. Minimum Requirements: Current & Valid Driver's Licence (HR Preferred) National Police Clearance (within 12 months – validity site dependant) Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician). Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor in the mining or heavy equipment industry. Strong leadership and people management skills. Commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
