Banksy Bar & Kitchen is a modern café and cocktail bar located in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, QLD. We offer a stylish and welcoming atmosphere with seating for up to 80 customers, providing both dine-in and takeaway food and drink options. Our commitment is to provide an exceptional customer experience, with every detail carefully considered for comfort and enjoyment. We serve certified organic coffee from Quest Coffee Roasters, available both for purchase and in our delicious coffee creations. We are excited to soon be launching a Fri / Sat dinner and cocktail service, and expand our offering into the evening.
We are looking for an experienced Mixologist and Evening Manager to join our team!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Evening Operations and Staff Supervision: Oversee evening operations by supervising staff, providing guidance and support, and ensuring smooth coordination between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Mixology, Bar Service, and Barista Duties: Craft and serve a variety of innovative cocktails, mocktails, coffee, tea, and other beverages to a high standard, ensuring excellent presentation and customer satisfaction.
Customer Engagement and Issue Resolution: Provide outstanding service by engaging with customers to enhance their experience, handling inquiries, and professionally resolving any issues.
Inventory Management and Ordering: Manage stock levels, handle ordering of supplies, and ensure the bar is well-stocked, organised, and operates efficiently.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Ensure all evening activities comply with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies, maintaining a safe environment for staff and customers.
Closing Procedures: Oversee and perform end-of-day closing tasks, ensuring all duties are completed for a smooth closing process and readiness for the next day.
Business Growth and Customer Base Development: Work to build a recurring customer base, contribute to achieving high customer satisfaction, and encourage positive online reviews.
Maintain Cleanliness and Assist with Service Tasks: Keep the bar and dining areas clean and presentable, assist with food running, clearing tables, and dishwashing to maintain a smooth workflow.

ABOUT YOU
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a bartender or mixologist is required, with an ability to create innovative drinks.
Barista Skills: Experience in preparing high-quality coffee beverages.
RSA Certification: Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
Advanced Beverage Knowledge: Strong understanding of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to Learn: Open to training and developing new skills.
Organisational Skills: Ability to manage inventory and handle ordering efficiently.
Customer Service Focus: Committed to providing exceptional customer experiences and building customer relationships.

NICE TO HAVE

Marketing Abilities: Experience promoting a venue through social media and other channels.
Certification in Hospitality: Formal qualifications in hospitality or related fields.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 18 Years Old (due to legal requirements for serving alcohol)
Legal right to work in Australia: Australian Citizen or Resident, or hold an appropriate long-term visa to work in Australia.
Evening Availability: Able to work Friday and Saturday evenings, including shifts up to 10:00 pm.
Reliable Transportation: Ability to commute to and from Broadbeach.
