About the Role
As a Project Manager reporting to the General Manager - Project Management Office, you will be instrumental in scoping, planning, and delivering select high-impact projects.
You will leverage your expertise to oversee all facets of project management, including change management, from initial discovery and scoping through to successful delivery, embedment and evaluation.
Your role will encompass project management, change management, budget and resource planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and governance.
Additionally, you will contribute to standardisation of project management tools, processes, and practices across MMAL.
Core Responsibilities
Lead the scoping, planning, execution and change management of key initiatives by establishing clear objectives, maintaining stakeholder communication and engagement, and ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including objectives, scope, budgets, and risks, while securing necessary approvals and engaging third-party providers as needed.
Regularly report on project progress to stakeholders, identify and mitigate risks, and conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
Contribute to the standardisation and continuous improvement of project management tools, processes, and practices across MMAL.
Essential Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business, Change Management, or alternate relevant discipline, or equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience.
Previous experience in a project management role, with a thorough understanding of project management methodologies and change management principles.
Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis tools (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot), dynamic charting, and data validation to effectively manage, analyse and present data sets.
Highly developed communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal), with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders, prepare concise business cases, and deliver engaging presentations to senior management and project teams.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to be resourceful and use initiative.
Proven ability to see projects through the full lifecycle and complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
