MIPEC Marine Consultants & Surveyors is a long established firm with head office based in Gladstone, Queensland and we now have vacancies for experienced marine surveyors to join our team in Mackay.
Duties include: Carry out draft surveys Inspections such as fitness to load grain, preloading suitability, marine warranty surveys Other surveys including on/off hire, bunker surveys, Flag State and Mock Port State Control inspections. To be successful the applicant must possess: Master Mariner Unlimited Licence or Chief Officer on ocean going vessels, preferably bulk carriers (desirable) Previous experience in a similar role (desirable) Fluency in English Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills Valid Current MSIC Valid Australian Drivers Licence Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment Strong attention to detail and problem solving Be able to pass Medical/Drug and alcohol test (no restrictions) Australian Citizen / Australian Resident or demonstrate the right to live and work in Australia Diploma or equivalent in marine surveying Flexibility and availability for travel Successful applicant must be willing to relocate to Mackay.
