About the role We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Ministry Leader to oversee community social programs & ministry efforts in Parramatta.
The role will focus on advancing the Salvation Army's mission across the broader Parramatta Region.
They will inspire mission growth and strengthen the impact, relevance, sustainability, and viability of TSA; seeking to meet the spiritual, emotional, social, and physical needs of the local community.
A mandatory requirement of this role is to become a soldier or commit to the Soldiers Covenant.
This role may require work to be undertaken on weekends and outside of usual business hours.
Days off will be as mutually agreed and in accordance with the National Employment Standards.
You will successfully Establish, develop, and coordinate service delivery to address community and individual needs.Develop and coordinate pathways to share the gospel, lead people to develop a relationship with Jesus, promote spiritual growth, and make disciple-makers.Establish and expand discipleship groups across the area, using relevant training resources.Lead pastoral care efforts for Parramatta Corps and the local community.Ensure local leaders and volunteers have clear expectations, supervision, and development feedback.Promote a safe environment for children and vulnerable people, incorporating risk prevention, detection, and mitigation strategies in all programs.Develop & monitor budgets with support from specialist teams to ensure accountability and compliance.You will have Proven Leadership (spiritual and organisational), a strong Christian faith, pastoral capabilities and demonstrated effectiveness in evangelism and discipleship.Current NSW Driver licence.NSW Working With Children Check.Bachelor of Ministry or Theology or other formal training (preferred).A strong commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army; a solid understanding of The Salvation Army's doctrines and principles.
